DCWPu2019s Licensing Division seeks a supervisor to oversee the Fitness Review unit (FRU). The supervisor will report to the Deputy Director of Operations. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Staff supervision including monitoring of performance, reviewing of work assignments and providing training and assistance as needed; - Guide, coach and assist staff with employee issues and concerns and take appropriate action and/or make appropriate referrals and recommendations to address such when necessary; - Develop Plan of Action and timelines to address deficiencies and issues and implement them accordingly; - Under the guidance of General Counsel office, review criminal history of applicants and process license applications ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures; - Perform complex system searches, reviewing documentation for accuracy including handling high profile cases with confidential client information; - Data entry and quality assurance for both their own work and over the work of the unit; - Assist other unitsu2019 Supervisors in coordinating projects and daily unit operations; - Support implementation of new laws, policies, and procedures as directed; - Collaborate with relevant parties to troubleshoot system issues, test system changes, and promote use of online licensing services; - Process and monitor license applications and related documents received in person, online, and by mail; - Ensure accuracy and compliance with policies through regular quality checks and follow-ups; - Handle routine payment processing and related math calculations; - Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support efficient application processing; - Provide high-volume customer service in person, online, and by phone; - Provide backup support to Licensing team members as needed; - Adhere to all division and agency policies and procedures; - Perform all relevant and related Licensing tasks as assigned when needed. - Attend seminars and/or meetings to educate and inform stakeholders both inside and outside the agency as applicable. - Participate and assist in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), or other relevant audit and compliance review process, including drafting responses, answering questions, revising policies, and conducting trainings. - Other aspects of the job include but are not limited to working with DCWP General Counselu2019s Office, DCWP Division of Technology and Strategic Services, DCWP Enforcement and processing licensing applications for DCWP. CLERICAL ASSOCIATE - 10251 Qualifications Qualification Requirements A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills Requirement Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
