Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical accounting operations within the healthcare industry. Located in Tacoma, Washington, this role will focus on key accounting activities such as month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. u2022 Prepare and review journal entries to maintain proper financial records. u2022 Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to ensure alignment and accuracy. u2022 Collaborate with the accounting team to address discrepancies and improve processes. u2022 Utilize Workday and Excel for financial reporting and analysis. u2022 Support general ledger maintenance and ensure compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Assist in identifying and resolving accounting issues as they arise. u2022 Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial operations. u2022 Maintain documentation and records for audits and compliance purposes. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent role. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including month-end close and reconciliation processes. u2022 Proficiency in using Workday software and advanced Excel skills. u2022 Ability to prepare and review journal entries with high attention to detail. u2022 Familiarity with general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Strong organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple tasks. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate within a team environment.
