Description: IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale/Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, Vandenburg Air Force Base or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position. Perform all operations in the manufacture and rework of surface mount technology(SMT), Plated Through Hole (PTH), and mixed technology (such as SMT and PTH) printed wiring assemblies and related technologies using computer aided and manually operated machinery. Perform equipment set-up, operation, and product and process verification. Working directly from shop documents such as Company or customer specifications, Manufacturing Process Standards (MPS), blueprints, change notices, engineering notes or verbal direction, perform the following duties to produce fully acceptable SMT, PTH and mixed technology hardware: Form components using manual and automated tools. Set-up, operate, and maintain the automated component tinning machine. Ensure the segregation and accurate inventory of various customers' SMT and mixed technology components utilizing local kit carousel or locked inventory storage. Electronically record component usage data per engineering direction using bar code technology or manual recording. Test solder paste for acceptability. Operate both automated and manual screen printing equipment. Operate automated adhesive application equipment. Manually apply adhesive as required.
