Accounting Clerk (Part-Time, Potential Full-Time) Location: Ocala, FLPay Rate: $25/hourSchedule: Monday-Friday | Flexible Part-Time (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) Position Overview We are conducting a soft search for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to support our accounting and finance team. This role will begin as part-time with strong potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with foundational accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment and wants to grow into more advanced accounting functions over time. Key Responsibilities Maintain accounting records and financial tracking systems Perform general ledger entries and assist with audits Support Accounts Payable functions, including invoice submission, coding, and account analysis Prepare daily plant reporting, including statistics and KPIs Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies Assist with administrative accounting tasks (bank deposits, mail processing, etc.) Support financial reporting and operational analysis for senior management Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal processes Identify process improvements and implement feedback Growth Opportunities (Based on Performance) Cost Accounting: Standard cost updates for new materials Analysis of production and purchase price variances Root cause analysis of cost discrepancies Fixed Assets: Assist with monthly CapEx reporting Create internal orders for approved projects Account Reconciliation: Review account activity Recommend updates or cleanup of outdated records Required Skills & Qualifications Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR 3+ years of relevant accounting experience Experience with general accounting functions such as AP, ledger entries, or reporting Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills Basic experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred, but not required) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent organizational and time management skills Effective written and verbal communication Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Preferred Experience Exposure to manufacturing accounting environments Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar) Experience with financial reporting, KPIs, or inventory processes Why Join Us?
