Essential Duties & Responsibilities + Works closely with leadership to manage daily operations of the university childcare center, including advising and directing student employees and teaching assistants + Plans and implements weekly lesson plans based upon the approved curriculum to meet the needs and interests of the children + Develops center childcare and programming regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and maintain licensing and registration + Contributes to monthly newsletters and other informative materials for families and community members on various childcare development topics + Performs daily operations, such as delivering meals and sanitizing surfaces + Participates in center activities and events for students and their families + Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities + Knowledge of appropriate age-level learning psychology, styles, and strategies + Knowledge of applicable education laws, policies, and regulations + Skill in written and verbal communication + Skill in compiling, organizing, interpreting, and communicating data and results concisely + Ability to prioritize and organize multiple, competing tasks + Ability to establish, build, and maintain effective working relationships Minimum Education & Experience + Associate's degree in related field + 1 year of relevant experience + Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered Job Level Overview Specialized Contributor Level 2 - A fully functional role requiring established knowledge of the profession or field of work. Responsible for completing substantive assignments and projects. Problems are varied and non-routine, and resolution requires exercising judgment, analysis, advisement, creativity, and understanding broader sets of issues.
