Transport, process, and perform clerical duties as necessary for testing on patient samples. Reports to: Lead Phlebotomist, Lab Manager and Laboratory Director. What You Will Do in This Role + You will greet patients and instruct them in proper specimen collection methods. + You will draw blood specimens from patients by using finger sticks, heel sticks or venipunctures and collect other specimens as required. + You will label specimens for identification purposes accurately and enter specimen data into the computer. + You will prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood bank, and urinalysis departments + You will assist with clerical duties by answering telephone calls.
