Job Description

Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing u2022 Process full-cycle payroll for multiple client companies on a recurring basis (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls). u2022 Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, prevailing wage classifications, deductions, garnishments, and benefits. u2022 Maintain payroll records and ensure proper documentation for all payroll transactions. u2022 Verify timesheets, payroll reports, and supporting documentation prior to payroll processing. u2022 Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with reconciliation to the general ledger. Prevailing Wage & Compliance u2022 Process payroll for prevailing wage and public works projects, ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws. u2022 Review and verify employee classifications, fringe benefits, and wage determinations. u2022 Assist with preparation of certified payroll reports when required. u2022 Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local wage regulations. Client Account Management u2022 Manage payroll for multiple client entities simultaneously in a professional CPA firm environment. u2022 Communicate with clients regarding payroll information, employee changes, and compliance issues. u2022 Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly. Payroll Tax & Reporting Support u2022 Assist with preparation and filing of payroll tax reports and payroll-related filings. u2022 Support preparation of quarterly and annual payroll filings including: u2022 Forms 941 u2022 Forms 940 u2022 State payroll tax filings u2022 W-2 preparation and reporting u2022 Maintain accurate payroll files and records for compliance and audit purposes. Software & Systems u2022 Utilize QuickBooks Payroll and related accounting software to process payroll and maintain payroll data. u2022 Maintain employee records within payroll systems. u2022 Assist with payroll system updates and improvements.
