Systems Test & Evaluation Engineer (Experienced and Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Systems Test & Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Long Beach, CA. Our engineering culture encourages and rewards independent thinking, commitment to teamwork, and a system-level vision.The selected candidate will be responsible for contributing to Southern California Aeronautical System Integration & Test (ASIT) program deliverables for multiple airplane programs. The scope of responsibility includes system level design, integration and sustaining support of System Integration Labs (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulators (HILS), and Flight Management System (FMS) Labs. The position works closely with BT&E leadership, Boeing Global Services (BGS) leadership, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, and the BT&E ASIT Enterprise Capability Leader. If you are a motivated engineer with exceptional communication skills (oral and written), look forward to a dynamic work environment working with engineers from many skill areas, and aspire to develop technical leadership abilities, we are looking for you.We are seeking candidates who are detail-oriented, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities, and show a self-motivated, proactive approach to work.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Senior Level Systems Test & Evaluation Engineers.Position Responsibilities:Supports the development and verification of test methodsDevelops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test planDevelops solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impactDesigns test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirementsUses analytical tools to verify the designAnalyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirementsReviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customerPrepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirementsPresents test results internallyArchives data and reportsTrains othersWorks under general directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. CitizenshipBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement5+ years of experience with configuration management tools and best practices for Systems, Software, and Hardware design3+ years of experience using DOORS for requirements management3+ years of experience in acting in agile (SCRUM) leadership roles of Product Owner and/or Scrum MasterPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 4: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with presenting information to leaders and external customersExperience with DoD and Military platformsHands-on experience in a lab environment, performing software and hardware integrationHistory of developing, performing, and improving software and/or hardware test proceduresExperience leading teams and holding individuals accountable to commitments by creating a culture of ownership and accountabilityExperience developing, managing, and modifying requirements, design solutions, and verification approachesExperience leading in an agile/scrum team operating rhythm as a participant or in a role product owner or scrum master (Jira experience preferred)Experience leading the development of Basis of Estimates for U.S. Government proposalsDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Conflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
