Minnetonka, MNUp to $120,000 Local manufacturing company is hiring a Process Engineering Manager for their largest U.S printed circuit board facility located MN. Duties/Responsibilities: Leads a team of approximately 8-12 employees across our process engineering and chemical laboratory departments. Develops and supports direct reports. Participates in the development and control of manufacturing processes to ensure product compliance and efficient production. Develops and maintains manufacturing process control plans and area standard operating procedures. Oversees the manufacture of products, works closely with manufacturing personnel and ensures quality requirements are consistently met. Applies a methodical approach to problem solving and has an ability to utilize statistical tools to control processes and assist in the identification of continuous improvement opportunities and recommended actions. Supports training of manufacturing personnel to area procedures. Evaluates and assists in real-time problem resolution Delivers progress, project plans and yield reports to management on an on-going basis and/or as requested. Participates in the identification of equipment and materials requirements and in formalizing specifications. Provides DFM support for new projects as requested Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: 10+ years of proven success in manufacturing environments implementing and documenting processes, improving yields and working with cross functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills. Formal approach to problem resolution. Able to communicate effectively with different levels of the organization and in both personal and group settings. Ability to develop and guide team members. Highly organized and detailed oriented Understanding of lean practices and statistical process control Ability to set and meet goals, and communicate priorities effectively to the engineering team, production operators, peers and management. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work well as a member of the Minnetonka management team, take initiative and support development of direct and indirect reports. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering preferred. Other educational backgrounds will be considered based on the candidate’s work experience. Printed circuit board, solar, semiconductor, plating operations or circuit board assembly experience preferred. Manufacturing experience required. Various levels of experience will be considered based on proven ability to lead high performance teams.
