Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for someone with strong financial acumen and organizational skills. The role involves managing various accounting functions, preparing essential reports, and ensuring compliance with financial standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including specialized reports as needed. u2022 Process payroll efficiently and ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements. u2022 Review, process, and approve invoices with attention to accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Coordinate and oversee the annual budgeting process, submitting finalized budgets to relevant agencies. u2022 Establish and manage accounting books for newly formed communities. u2022 Handle the closure and filing of accounting books for terminated communities. u2022 Prepare comprehensive financial statements for year-end audits. u2022 Provide guidance to new Community Managers on accounting procedures and responsibilities. u2022 Perform construction draws and monitor costs associated with construction projects. u2022 Incorporate organizational policies on racial equity, diversity, and inclusion into department operations. If interested please end resume on a word document to Requirements u2022 At least 2 years of accounting experience with attention to detail. u2022 Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processes and payroll tax reporting. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in month-end close procedures and journal entries. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions. u2022 Experience in preparing financial reports and managing budgets. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members. u2022 Excellent organizational and analytical skills. u2022 Familiarity with integrating diversity and inclusion principles into business practices.
