2024-25 Physical Therapist / Physical Therapist Assistant (10 Hours a Week Max - SC LLR License Required)The School-Based Physical Therapist supports scholars physical development and access to learning by providing therapeutic services that improve mobility, strength, and functional independence within the school environment.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate scholars to determine physical therapy needs related to educational accessDevelop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goalsProvide direct and consultative therapy services in classrooms and school settingsCollaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support scholar successMonitor progress, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with special education regulationsSupport safe mobility, positioning, and use of adaptive equipmentQualifications:Doctorate or Masters Degree in Physical TherapyValid state licensure as a Physical TherapistExperience in pediatric or school-based settings preferredCore Competencies:Strong collaboration and communication skillsCommitment to whole-child developmentFlexibility, problem-solving, and a heart for serviceSouth Carolina LLR required for PT/ PTA; Valid out-of-state certification is also acceptable.
