Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Wixom, Michigan. In this Contract to permanent position, you will be responsible for managing invoicing processes, addressing customer billing inquiries, and supporting collections efforts. To excel in this role, you should possess strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and an attentive demeanor. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare, issue, and organize invoices efficiently and accurately. u2022 Manage customer invoicing portals to ensure timely processing and updates. u2022 Address and resolve client billing discrepancies and inquiries with a courteous approach. u2022 Apply cash collections and process credit card transactions as needed. u2022 Research and resolve billing discrepancies by reviewing invoices, sales receipts, and deposit records. u2022 Collaborate with the sales team to address cost and margin issues. u2022 Assist management and accounting teams with various billing-related tasks. u2022 Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software. u2022 Support customer collection efforts to ensure timely payments. u2022 Handle sensitive and confidential billing information with discretion. Requirements u2022 At least 1-2 years of experience in billing or customer service roles. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. u2022 Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently. u2022 Availability to work occasional evenings, holidays, and weekends. u2022 Comfortable working in an office environment with occasional light lifting (20-25 lbs.). u2022 Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach when interacting with clients. u2022 Familiarity with computerized billing systems and administrative processes.
