Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) Coordinator Description University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Office of Medical Education Job Title: Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) Coordinator Position #: 00808076 - Requisition #:39182 Job Summary: Key Responsibilities: + Manage complex student and faculty scheduling for clinical experiences requiring monthly coordination and distribution of schedules. Monitor and provide continuous updates and communication with faculty and students as conflicts and changes arise. + Assist LIC director(s) and other faculty in planning the year-long schedule of students' ambulatory clinical placements, inpatient experiences, on-call experiences, didactics, and assessments. + Coordinate didactic schedules, including speakers' scheduling, programming logistics, collection, and compilation of student evaluations. + Coordinate regular student meetings with LIC faculty, including the creation of reports and student performance summaries in all clinical realms at four-time points during the year. + Serve as a point of contact for common classroom, meeting, and lecture spaces on the Anschutz Medical Campus in order to secure space for curriculum events. + Use the university's room reservation system to find and reserve classroom or meeting spaces that meet the needs of the event type. + Track student progression, requirements, assessments, and grades. + Manage the LIC Canvas website, including updating course materials and arranging online quizzes and exams. + Maintain shared folders and other website materials and learning aids. + Oversee edits and maintenance of LIC website curriculum content ensuring that published changes are cohesive, clear, and consistent. + Record and track completion of faculty evaluations utilizing online evaluation systems. + Participate in the scheduling and proctoring of exams and ensure there is appropriate proctor coverage and back up support as needed. + Coordinate and schedule final grading meetings with faculty and liaise with the MD Data Records Manager and university registrar for grade entry. + Act as a point of contact for Volunteer Clinical faculty in badging, credentialing and site agreements. + Act as a point of contact for all student clinical badging processes. These processes are complex and differ between partner sites, requiring this position to develop, document, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the various badging requirements and processes. This includes badging processes for University of Colorado Hospital, Children's Hospital Colorado, Veteran Affairs, and more. + Gain familiarity and knowledge of policies and procedures for each partner's clinical requirements. + Assists students in completing required paperwork and administrative documents for individual hospital systems. + Regularly assess current badging practices with SOM Badging and the Clinical Pillar coordinator and seek to continually improve the efficiency and communication of these processes. + Identifies problems, develops solutions for the problems and presents the problems and solutions to Course Director. + Provide clerical support to the LIC director(s) and department liaisons. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience within an academic medical environment. + Experience working with learning management systems (i.e. Canvas, OASIS, etc.). + Experience with curriculum management and coordination. + Experience developing spreadsheets and databases for reporting and tracking purposes. + Experience coordinating and managing education programs, preferably in the medical field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Strong organizational skills. + Demonstrates initiative and works efficiently. + Able to work collaboratively with a large group of individuals. + Able to works independently without direct supervision. + Proficiency with MS Office products as well as aptitude to develop additional computer skills rapidly. + Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Excel. + Must be extremely detail-oriented and efficient, with attention to accuracy. + Excellent communication skills by email, conferencing software, and in person. + Ability to align multiple, competing demands with established priorities, and enjoy the challenges of change.
