Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS: In this position, you will be responsible forincreasing sales and gross profit by establishing new customers andexpanding business with existing customers within assigned territory.Some overnight travel may be required. Duties & Responsibilities Growthe territory business through solution selling of gas products andtechnology to new and existing customers Develop and execute plans tomaintain and grow the existing customer base Negotiate pricing, termsand conditions and project scope with existing and new customers UtilizeOutlook, Call Proof, or other company designated CRM platforms forplanning, scheduling, and professional time management of the assignedsales territory Develop long term relationships with strategiccustomers, facilitating product supply agreements, and developing asales territory customer portfolio with long term targeted customersActively review and manage existing customer Accounts Receivablebalances to help minimize working capital investment and financial riskMaintain and demonstrate a positive attitude with all associates,customers, vendors and other business partners Work closely with localbranch managers to assi st in promoting sales and customer managementthrough retail store locations within assigned territory Meet goals andobjectives set by and with management Perform administrative duties suchas managing expenses through Concur, completing sales profitabilityanalysis for proposal review, completing customer pricing and datasheets for computer contracts, etc. Other duties as assignedQualifications & Education Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalentexperience preferred 1-3 years of previous sales experience Knowledge ofwelding and gas products strongly preferred Industrial sales experiencestrongly preferred Successful track record of managing a sales territoryStrong time and management skills Critical thinking skills Strongwritten and oral communication skills Incentives Medical, Dental, &Vision Benefits with no waiting period Collaborative environment whereyour input is valued daily Company provided Short-term & Long-termDisability Company provided Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement SavingsPlan with Company match Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Preferred Skills:Goal oriented Interpersonal skills Proficient in MS Word, Excel andPowerPoint Sales process training Knowledge and understanding offinancial accounting terms and principals including gross margin, grossmargin percent, operating income, return on investment, internal rate ofreturn, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flowstatement Additional Notes: Travel requirements Overnight travel may berequired American Welding & Gas (AWG) is a manufacturer and distributorof industrial gases as well as a provider of all your welding supplyneeds.
