About the Opportunity This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. The position is located at the Pottsville Pike Service Center - Reading PA, Easton Service Center - Easton PA, Lebanon Service Center - Lebanon PA, or the York Service Center - York PA within the Met-Ed service territory. The Network Field Operations Specialist reports to the Supervisor, Network Support, and is accountable for all aspects of work associated with the installation, maintenance, repair, testing and configuration of Information Technology equipment. Equipment types include network devices, Remote Terminal Units, telecommunication circuits, two-way radios, mobile computing, and other devices. The Network Field Operations Specialist also performs or coordinates preventative maintenance, site inspections, document preparation, material requisitions and other work assigned by the Supervisor. Responsibilities Include: Demonstrate a solid commitment to all aspects of safety. Under general supervision, administer, oversee, and direct the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of network devices, Remote Terminal Units, telecommunication circuits, two-way radios, mobile computing, and other devices. Schedule and coordinate work assigned to individuals in a work group and manage the group's assignments and maintenance tasks. Assume Supervisor's responsibilities when the supervisor is unavailable. Provide technical support for communications and computer equipment by receiving, resolving, documenting and following up on trouble calls and requests for assistance.
