Ensures all customer concerns and or complaints are handled with extreme professionalism and care. Applies available tools and resources for reaching desired outcome with food specifications and production.Major tasks, responsibilities, and key accountabilities:Provide daily monitoring of facility and personnel to ensure compliance with the food safety system of the facility; perform formal audit on GMPsEnsure training of facility personnel on GMPs, risk preventive controls, hazard analysis, pre-requisite programs, and other applicable food safety system elements as requiredResponsible for pre-operational inspectionsCollect and analyze product samples as required, as well as document information derived from analysisSafely keep records of all facility analytical results; immediately report results discovered to be out of specification to the QA supervisorProvide documented reports of analytical results to the QA supervisor, also responsible for tracking and reporting data trendsInspecting raw materials coming in; assisting in investigating non-conformance and complaint about product; and provide leadership for the facility team in performing self-auditsAid in hosting visitors to the facility, including regulatory agency representatives and customer representatives, function as main host for the facility’s third-party auditorsEnsure product is processed to company HACCP/HARPC programsInform Quality Assurance Management of any food safety concernsImplementing and manage food safety corrective actionsProvide assistance to local and corporate management in carrying out changes to the food safety system of the facility; give assistance in creating, reviewing, authenticating, and maintaining food safety system documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and programs working in collaboration with the quality assurance team; provide assistance in maintaining document registers and documentationPossess innovative, resourceful, and proactive disposition, committed to ensuring continuous improvement of capacity and delivering quality serviceAbility to prioritize and perform position responsibilities accurately and to deadlineFollow health, safety, and cleanliness standardsHandle any other duties as assigned by QA supervisor and QA managerAdditional Responsibilities:Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly roleUtilize soft skills to maintain good relationship with customers and production personnelPreferred Qualifications:Prior quality assurance experience preferredFood manufacturing experienceKnowledge and understanding of applicable FDA regulations and GMPs preferredExperience performing administrative work including completing and reconciling paperwork preferredQualifications:High School Diploma/GED requiredComputer skills including basic Microsoft Excel requiredAbility to think analytically and problem solve.Ability to stay organized and multitask.Ability to perform basic mental math.Ability to effectively work with others and as part of a team.Ability to communicate effectively in English languageAbility to balance productivity, quality, and safetyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentWorking ConditionsThis is largely a static role with standing, however, the ability to perform repetitive bending and standing up is also required. This would require the ability to lift 10-35 lbs. repetitively and up to 45 lbs. occasionally. Must also be able to push/pull up to 250 lbs on rollers occasionally.This role operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (around 35 degrees F) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production type facility.
