Description We are looking for an Associate Attorney to join our mid-sized law firm in Sacramento, California. This position offers a unique opportunity for legal professionals to grow their expertise in civil litigation, particularly in employment law litigation, while contributing to a collaborative and client-focused environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing motions, and managing trial preparation. u2022 Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring their needs and objectives are met effectively. u2022 Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members to develop and execute case strategies. u2022 Research and draft legal memorandums, motions, and other critical court documents. u2022 Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions as needed. u2022 Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with legal protocols and deadlines. u2022 Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, particularly in employment law and civil litigation. u2022 Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and high-quality service. u2022 Participate in skill development activities to enhance knowledge and expertise. u2022 Contribute to the firmu2019s overall success by fostering a team-oriented and supportive work environment. Requirements u2022 Active membership with the California State Bar. u2022 At least one year of post-bar experience in civil litigation, either plaintiff or defense. u2022 Proficiency in drafting motions, conducting discovery, and preparing legal briefs. u2022 Strong knowledge of employment law litigation or other civil litigation practice areas. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present arguments clearly and persuasively. u2022 High level of organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. u2022 Commitment to growth and maintaining ethical standards. u2022 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
