This includes maintaining the proper licensing to operate the required vehicles. Persons in this job must maintain a driving record in good standing and comply with all regulatory requirements for a commercial driver. Requirements Role and Responsibilities: u00b7 Safely operate commercial classified vehicles. u00b7 Perform and record DOT and other governmental required inspections. u00b7 Complete paperwork as necessary and in a timely manner. u00b7 Load and unload truck as necessary to deliver product to customers. u00b7 Use of lift-trucks when necessary. u00b7 Interact with plant personnel and customer staff as necessary to perform delivery. Qualifications and Education Requirements Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have direct supervision over any positions. Qualifications & Education Requirements + High school diploma required. + Three years of commercial driving experience preferred. + Ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple instructions; bilingual skills preferred. + Ability to perform basic mathematical operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide). + Ability to apply common-sense reasoning to carry out detailed but uncomplicated instructions. + Ability to read computer-generated reports preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: + CA CDL-Class A certification with no restrictions. + Current DOT Medical Certification. + Less than 2 points on driving record. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Food Safety & Food Security Responsibilities: All persons within the company have responsibilities to ensure that threats to the safety and security of our final product are minimized. Responsibilities for this position include. u00b7 Compliance with F&S Fresh Foods Good Manufacturing Practices [GMPs] u00b7 Reporting any unauthorized persons in or about the facility as well as incidents of employee tampering to management. u00b7 Understanding basic concepts of food borne illness. u00b7 Secure outbound and inbound loads are secured as outlined in company policy. WORK DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this Job it is primarily working in a warehouse or chilled factory environment with prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting medium to heavy weight objects. Regularly required to grab, carry items, talk, or hear with frequent use of hands to finger, handle, lift, or feel. Regularly exposed to chilled temperatures.
