Senior Java Backend Developer _Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future_ As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will make an impact as the primary point of contact for all Java domain-related queries and issues. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with management, team members and client. In this role, you will: u00b7 Design and develop robust software applications using Spring boot Microservices to meet business requirements. u00b7 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components. u00b7 Implement best practices in software development to enhance performance and scalability. u00b7 Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster skill development. u00b7 Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelines. u00b7 Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability. u00b7 Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions. u00b7 Participate in architectural discussions to drive innovation and efficiency in software design. u00b7 Ensure software solutions are aligned with business goals and objectives. u00b7 Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications. u00b7 Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. u00b7 Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. u00b7 Contribute to the improvement of development processes and methodologies. What you must have to be considered: u00b7 Possess a strong proficiency in Spring boot Microservices and Java for full stack development. u00b7 Demonstrate expertise in Commerce Full Stack Engineering with a focus on Java technologies. u00b7 Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in software development with a maximum of 10 years. u00b7 Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. u00b7 Show capability to work effectively in a hybrid work model and day shift environment. u00b7 Display strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. u00b7 Maintain a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. The annual salary for this position is between $64,734 to $90,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
