Description Brad Stewart at Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for a Payroll Administrator for a resort in North Lake Tahoe. This hybrid role has the opportunity to become remote once the candidate is fully onboarded and up to speed. Responsibilities: u00b7 Process biweekly payroll, including seasonal staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance u00b7 Maintain employee payroll files, timekeeping data, and related documentation u00b7 Review and validate timecards, attendance records, and pay adjustments u00b7 Work with HR to review and audit employee status changes for new hires, terminations, wage changes, etc. u00b7 Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws u00b7 Prepare and reconcile payroll reports; assist with audits as needed u00b7 Address employee questions related to pay, taxes, and timekeeping with professionalism and discretion u00b7 Manage garnishments, child support, deductions, and 401(k) contributions u00b7 Support year-end tasks such as W-2 processing and report preparation u00b7 Responsible for posting payroll to General Ledger, reconciling payroll GL accounts, and auditing information for accuracy Requirements u00b7 2+ years of payroll experience u00b7 Understanding of CA-specific labor standards, including overtime, meal and rest breaks, and seasonal/temporary workforce rules u00b7 Strong understanding of payroll principles, wage laws, and reporting requirements u00b7 Experience with payroll software, UKG knowledge is a plus u00b7 Ability to maintain strict confidentiality u00b7 Strong communication and customer-service skills u00b7 Proficiency in Excel and other administrative tools Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
