About Golisano Childrenu2019s Hospital Golisano Childrenu2019s Hospital is the dedicated childrenu2019s hospital within the University of Rochester Medical Center and operates under the license of Strong Memorial Hospital, the regionu2019s adult academic hospital and designated Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and regional burn center. This close integration allows GCH to leverage the full resources of a major academic medical center while maintaining a child- and family-centered care environment. Golisano Childrenu2019s Hospital is consistently ranked among the nationu2019s best childrenu2019s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report across multiple specialties, including neonatology, neurology, neurosurgery, hematology/oncology, nephrology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and orthopedics. Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Program Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care attendings are members of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care and work closely within the URMC Congenital Heart Program Service Line. The Pediatric Cardiac Care Center (PCCC) at URMC is a 16-bed acuity-adaptable cardiac ICU staffed with: u00b7 24/7 in-house attending physician coverage u00b7 Dedicated advanced practice providers u00b7 Specialized pediatric cardiac nursing staff The PCCC provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing cardiac surgery and interventional cardiac procedures. The program includes an active ECMO program and supports GCHu2019s regional pediatric cardiac surgery program serving Western and Central New York.
