This role isideal for individuals with strong work ethic and attention to detail whoare eager to learn technical skills in a hands-on manufacturingenvironment. Operators at this level are cross trained to supportmultiple departments as needed, ensuring production coverage andpromoting safety and teamwork. The position serves as the foundation forgrowth and development within the Machine Operator career path.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES- Operate and monitor basic machinery such as vertical and horizontal balers.- Assist with material handling and ensure proper removal and disposal of scrap materials.- Perform visual quality inspections on product and report any defects or irregularities.- Support start-up and shutdown operations of machines under supervision.- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following all safety and housekeeping standards.- Assist in basic preventive maintenance and machine checks as directed by supervisor.- Follow all PPE, safety, and environmental compliance procedures.- Document production activities and report downtime or safety concerns promptly.- Participate in on-the-job training to develop multi-machine operational skills.- Perform other duties as assigned.
