SUMMARYThis position is responsible for operating welding equipment to build high quality parts, subassemblies, and finished product. Weldements vary in type, size, and direction and are performed on a variety of production lines.u00a0ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Must receive a passing score on the Welder Qualification test and recertify skills as required by program guidelines2. Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place3. Adjust welding current to proper weld configurations4. Heats and forms metal parts and components using hand tools, torch or welding equipment5. Welds components in flat, vertical or overhead positions6. Accurately operate and read measuring devices7. Assemble and weld various metal parts together8. Properly position material/parts to be welded9. Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands10. Follow verbal and written work instructions including ability to read blue prints11. Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards12. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations13. Work in both team and individual settings14. Regular attendance required15. All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned u00a0BASIC QUALIFICATIONS1. 6 plus months of welding experience either through education or work u00a0PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1. Welding Certification through an educational institution2. 1 plus year(s) of welding experience in a manufacturing industry
