Job Description Insight Global is supporting a leading company within the HVAC and piping industry in the search for a Revit Designer to support its Manufacturing Group. This individual will play a critical role to annotating and supporting the designs of several ongoing capital projects. This is a production focused BIM / MEP Detailer responsible for modeling plumbing and piping systems exactly as they will be fabricated and installed in the field. The role sits between engineering and construction and directly impacts clashes, RFIs, fabrication accuracy, cost, and schedule. Key Responsibilities: u2022u2003Provide drafting/modeling support for the Engineering and VCS departments as needed. u2022u2003Capable of reading contract drawings for reference. u2022u2003Modeling of plumbing/piping systems per contract documents. u2022u2003Annotate and prepare shop drawings for A/E review through IFC to make available to the PM team. u2022u2003Experienced in clash avoidance modeling. u2022u2003Experienced in identifying issues that will result in generating an RFI. u2022u2003Knowledge of state plumbing/piping codes for constructible modeling. u2022u2003Capable of generating spools/BOMs/ISOs utilizing all software within the manufacturing department.
