Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This role is ideal for candidates with expertise in fund accounting, grants management, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, managing budgets, and supporting year-end audits. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee fund accounting activities, including managing grants from federal, local, and organizational sources. u2022 Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements to the executive committee and organizational board on a quarterly basis. u2022 Perform high-volume reconciliations for multiple loan programs and bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Handle budgeting and cash management to support organizational financial goals. u2022 Manage payroll reporting, including bi-monthly payroll and local payroll tax for under 100 employees. u2022 Conduct month-end close processes and ensure timely preparation of financial statements. u2022 Report loan activity to the credit bureau, including adjustments for prime rate changes. u2022 Assist with year-end audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. u2022 Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial data. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks for accounting tasks and reporting. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is highly preferred. u2022 Proven experience in fund accounting, particularly within non-profit organizations. u2022 Strong knowledge of grants management, including federal, local, and micro-grants. u2022 Proficiency in budgeting, cash management, and payroll reporting. u2022 Expertise in handling high-volume reconciliations for loans and bank accounts. u2022 Familiarity with QuickBooks Pro, Enterprise, or similar accounting software. u2022 Ability to prepare and deliver financial presentations to executive committees and boards. u2022 Knowledge of compliance requirements related to loan programs and audits.
