Title of the position: Delivery DriverDirect report to: DispatchDepartment: Warehouse and Lumber YardOverall responsibility: Drivers must load and unload heavy packages on a daily basis as well as perform routine maintenance. Drivers are responsible for getting a customer’s signature confirming receipt of delivery and take note of any cash transactions. Report any delays in traffic to dispatcher.Key areas of responsibilities:• Deliver building materials to customers in designated locations as required.• Ability to bend, kneel, push, pull and lift• Inspect truck for defects and safe operating conditions before, during and after each delivery and follow all safety regulations and procedures.• Immediately report any safety issues found during truck inspection• Keep truck clean inside and out• Contact with the dispatcher, assuring the manager knows location at all time.• Operate GPS provided by the company.Qualifications:• Driver’s license and clean driving record• Strong customer service skills• Good organizational skills• Ability to read and understand invoices• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent• Knowledge of safety procedures while performing tasks• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds• Ability to work in extreme Florida climate• Ability to operate manual transmission• Forklift CertificationAdditional responsibilities:• Assist warehouse personal with customer orders.• Pull hardware and materials• Assist customers when needed• Perform routine clean ups of the yard, garbage, restrooms, etc.• Additional duties will be assigned by warehouse or general manager. Located in Englewood, FL Temp-to-perm position! MONDAY - FRIDAY 7AM-4PM
