We want you to apply Job Summary and Qualifications Provides professional therapeutic services to behavioral health patients in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Research Psychiatric Center and Cass Regional Medical Center. Participates in the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. Works collaboratively with members of the health care team, maintains a safe environment, and provides patient and family education. The Licensed Social Services Clinician is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, discharge planning, case management services, crisis intervention, liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital. Demonstrates competency to provide age appropriate care to geriatric patients age 55 years+. What you will do in this Role: + Conducts one-on-one, group, and family psychoeducational and process groups. + Develops treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis. + Assesses environment and patientu2019s safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition. + Identifies risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement). + Completes assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope. + Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patientsu2019 discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge. + Conducts post-discharge follow-up as indicated. What qualifications you will need: + Master's degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited university + Previous experience working with the mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting + Prefer experience with case management, discharge planning, facilitated psychoeducation groups, age specific growth and development, and safety planning + Current Missouri Licensure for independent clinical practice (LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LMFT). + Required BLS within 30 days and CPI Certification within 90 days of employment Cass Regional has partnered with Research Psychiatric Center of Kansas City, Missouri, to operate the Sage Senior Behavioral Health Unit (BHU), which specializes in inpatient geriatric-psychiatric health services. The 10-bed unit was established to care for senior adult patients whose psychiatric symptoms have posed significant problems or safety hazards in their home environment. Patients come to the BHU from other long-term care facilities and private homes. Each patient has a personal treatment team to address both psychiatric and physical illnesses, which can often underlie psychiatric symptoms.
