Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a crucial role in managing invoicing, reconciliations, and collections while ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the overall accounts receivable process. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in an analytical and detail-oriented environment and possesses advanced Excel skills. Responsibilities: u2022 Process daily invoices as part of a collaborative team effort. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments and invoicing, including past-due amounts. u2022 Reconcile accounts receivable balances on a monthly basis to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Draft and send correspondence for overdue accounts, and contact delinquent account holders to arrange payments. u2022 Generate detailed reports on account statuses and provide actionable insights. u2022 Utilize portals to manage and track accounts receivable activities. u2022 Organize and maintain files related to accounts receivable for easy retrieval and reference. u2022 Handle customer deposits. u2022 Perform additional duties as assigned to support the financial department. Requirements u2022 Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP and formulas. u2022 Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes, billing, and cash handling. u2022 Experience with accounting software systems, ERP platforms, and CRM tools. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage collections, including commercial and B2B accounts. u2022 Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills. u2022 Proven ability to generate aging reports and manage aged receivables. u2022 Effective communication skills for drafting correspondence and interacting with clients. u2022 Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
