Project Leader/Principal - Consumer (Boston Consulting Group, Inc. New York, NY) - Manage the design and development of long-term business strategies for consumer clients in order to achieve consumer-centric innovation, revenue growth, margin expansion, and enhanced organizational efficiency. Specific duties include: perform sophisticated market research, benchmarking, market sizing, forecasting, and decision analysis to identify growth opportunities; support commercial due diligence efforts for Consumer-sector transactions by assessing target company performance, market dynamics, and growth potential; conduct customer and competitor analyses, field expert interviews, and analyze survey data to pressure-test investment theses and identify strategic risks and opportunities for private equity and corporate clients; conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to support Consumer clients in identifying growth opportunities and operational improvements; synthesize insights and develop strategic recommendations across areas such as new market expansion, portfolio strategy, and organizational effectiveness; support the development and execution of strategic initiatives for Consumer sector clients by translating data-driven insights into clear, actionable recommendations to improve the business's product offerings, marketing strategies, pricing strategies, organizational design, or supply chain; work on cases spanning digital transformation, category growth, market entry, supply chain, and customer experience; manage case team responsibilities including personnel assignments, research and analysis, and reports to clients; undertake critical evaluation of analytical work performed using advanced economic and financial analysis techniques; oversee and direct consultants and junior professional staff, and oversee project planning and preparation of outputs; and present findings to senior client management, and oversee business development and client relationships.
