Required Education/Experience + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8 years of engineering work experience focused on the design, analysis, and modification of industrial systems. or + Master's Degree in Engineering and 6 years of engineering work experience focused on the design, analysis, and modification of industrial systems. Relevant Work Experience + Demonstrated personal accountability with the ability to manage multiple assignments and adjust priorities as needed, required. + Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a teambased environment, required. + Understanding of the importance of leadership, commitment to excellence, and the delivery of highquality customer service, required. + Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization, required. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, required. + Highly organized and detailoriented, with the ability to work effectively in both office and field environments, required. + Ability to make timely, wellreasoned decisions to meet schedules and operational deadlines, required. + Experience working in electric and steam power plants or substations, required. + Experience performing or directing electrical testing of plant equipment, including transformers, generators, breakers, and related systems, required. Licenses and Certifications + Driver's License Required + Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred + Other: Master Electrician License Preferred Physical Demands + Ability to respond to system emergencies + Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold + Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations + Ability to climb ladders and stairs + Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces) + Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems + Ability to be approved to wear and use either a full or half-face respirator, without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations + Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies + Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses Additional Physical Demands + The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. + Ability to participate in sequence engineering program (which includes working nights, weekends, and an on-call schedule). + Ability to climb into steam structures, such as boilers. + Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needs arise.
