About the Role: As a CBRE Carpenter, you will perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair to various structures throughout multiple commercial facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What Youu2019ll Do: u2022 Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of the buildingu2019s structure and grounds. u2022 Perform assigned repairs and emergency preventative maintenance. Complete maintenance repair records as required. u2022 Build, dismantle, and repair structures, walls, roofs, glass, siding, scaffolding or facia. u2022 Review assigned work orders and estimate time, materials, equipment, and tools to complete the repair. Order necessary materials and supplies as needed. u2022 Review construction documents such as drawings, sketches, specifications, and maintenance logs. u2022 Collaborate with employees, end users, and stakeholders concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired. u2022 Ensure that all tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety. u2022 Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. u2022 Ensure the personal safety and safety of those who are affected by your work. u2022 Participate in all HSE-related programs, activities, and training as required. This includes incident investigations, interviews, auditing, assessment, etc. u2022 Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management. u2022 Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. u2022 Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail. u2022 Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. What Youu2019ll Need: u2022 High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience. u2022 Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. u2022 Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. u2022 Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. u2022 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. u2022 Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. u2022 Basic math skills.
