Ely Park Golf Course is seeking a Bartender Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. General Purpose:Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.Pay:$12.00 per hour Tipped Wage PositionEssential Duties:Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, and maintains inventory records.Assists department leaders with the creation of seasonal cocktails and the development of the menu.Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by municates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.Performs opening and closing duties, which include, but are not limited to, inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes the Point-of-Sale System.Reviews banquet schedule for changes, special events, and calendar updates.Serves catered parties from service or portable bars.On occasion, will serve meals to corporates safe work practices in job performance.Regular and reliable attendance.Performs other duties as required.Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and current trends in the industry and marketplacePossesses knowledge of cocktail recipesProfessional and courteous demeanorDemonstrates a strong commitment to company valuesExceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients, and vendorsFluent in spoken, written, and comprehended EnglishMust meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beveragesMinimum Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Requirements:Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g., POSITOUCH and MICROS). Physical Demands:Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes, smells, and sits. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds. Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds. Certificates/Licenses:ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
