Together, we advance your career.THE ROLE:AMD is looking for an influential software engineer who is passionate about improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.THE PERSON:The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the development and enhancements of the common automation framework for AMD SPSE team.Design and develop APIs for integration using either Java or Python language.Deploy application in containerized server infrastructure.Design and Development of web application and web services.Design and Manage Azure based cloud-based solutions.Design, develop, and support various Post Silicon Validation efforts.Maintaining and creating unit & integration tests for various applications.Work with AMD's architecture specialists to improve future productsApply a data minded approach to target optimization effortsStay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architectureDesign and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologiesParticipating in new ASIC and hardware bring upsDebugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same workDevelop technical relationships with peers and partnersPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Good knowledge of a high-level programming language like Python or Java.Experience with web service technology like REST, XML and JSON.Experience with continuous integration frameworks, preferably Jenkins.Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.Strong knowledge of integration architectures, best practices, tools, techniques, and platforms.Familiarity with container technology such as docker is preferred.Familiarity with cloud-based solutions such as Azure is preferred.Understanding of software development process, build & test systems, automation tools is required.Strong Analytical capability and problem-solving skills with attention to details.Ability to guide and mentor junior member of the team.A willingness to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detailExperience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIsExperience with Windows, Linux and/or Android operating system developmentExperience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plusEffective communication and problem-solving skillsMotivating leader with good interpersonal skillsACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalentLocation:Bellevue, WA#LI-DN1This role is not elig
