About The Role Rincon Consultants is seeking a flexible and proactive Biologist / Assistant Project Manager u2013 to support various projects including energy generation, transmission, and renewable infrastructure projects across California. Youu2019ll assist with task and project management, client coordination, and technical deliverables related to CEQA/NEPA compliance, biological studies, and permitting. What Youu2019ll Do + Assist in the preparation of Biological Resources Assessment reports, biological resource sections for CEQA/NEPA documents, and other technical documents and support regulatory permitting (ESA, CESA, CWA) + Coordinate with technical specialists to manage project tasks, schedules, deliverables, and budgets across multiple concurrent projects + Participate in field-based work include reconnaissance surveys, protocol surveys and other field-based activity + Contribute to field data organization, habitat assessments, and tracking of environmental compliance + Support or lead small- to mid-sized natural resource or permitting projects + Participate in QA/QC processes to help ensure accuracy and technical excellence across deliverables + Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding project requirements, timelines, and expectations What Youu2019ll Bring + 3u20136+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or natural resource management + BS or MS in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field + Working knowledge of CEQA and/or NEPA, and familiarity with other federal, state, and local environmental regulations + Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to contribute effectively both independently and on collaborative teams + Detail-oriented and self-driven, with excellent time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills + Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment + Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to travel for project-related work as needed + Experience with Microsoft Office and general digital project management tools Investing in You The base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000u2013$115,000, plus a generous benefits program. Salary ranges are based on the market median of similar jobs, according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Base pay is determined based on internal equity and a candidateu2019s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
