Job Title: Superintendent - Buildings & EnvironmentsJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Superintendent to join our team in Northern Virginia, focusing on our Buildings & Environments domain. This full-time role involves managing projects primarily for DoD and Federal customers, with a strong emphasis on interior fit-out construction. The successful candidate will oversee the general contractor and report to the End Client, ensuring projects meet high standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities + Manage the general contractor and report to the End Client. + Oversee interior fit-out construction, handling reports, punch lists, and close-out activities. + Travel to locations such as NJ or FL for a few days each month as required. + Enforce a strong culture of safety on sites, ensuring compliance with federal, DoD, and OSHA regulations. + Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits. + Collaborate with General Contractors, quality control managers, and inspectors. + Participate in preconstruction planning and logistics coordination. + Develop and maintain detailed three-week look-ahead schedules. + Coordinate inspections, submittals, RFIs, and quality assurance documentation. + Manage project close-out activities including punch lists and testing. Essential Skills + Strong understanding of interior fit-out construction. + Experience in managing projects worth $15 million or more. + Excellent communication skills for client interactions. + Experience with commercial and federal construction. + Proven team leadership and project scheduling skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling software. + Federal experience preferred. + OSHA 30 certification and secret clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Owners rep experience and leadership qualities. + Proven field coordination skills. + Strong client engagement skills and a team player mentality. Work Environment This position is based onsite at multiple jobs at Fort Belvoir, with occasional out-of-state travel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manassas, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
