Description Robert Half's client in Flagstaff, Arizona is seeking a GIS Analyst. A GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing GIS applications and solutions to support data-driven decision-making within an organization. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and visualizing geographic data to assist with mapping, spatial analysis, and reporting. Key Responsibilities: + Collect, organize, and maintain spatial and non-spatial data from various sources. + Analyze geographic data to identify trends, patterns, and relationships using GIS software. + Develop interactive maps, dashboards, and spatial data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders. + Perform spatial analysis such as proximity, overlay, and network analysis to support business operations. + Design, maintain, and update GIS databases and data layers. + Quality-check and validate GIS datasets for accuracy and completeness. + Collaborate with departments to identify GIS needs and recommend technical solutions. + Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation summarizing analysis results. + Provide GIS technical support and training to staff as needed. + Stay current on GIS trends, technologies, and best practices. Requirements Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field. + Proficiency with GIS software (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo). + Strong skills in data management, spatial analysis, and cartography. + Experience with GIS programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus. + Ability to interpret and communicate complex spatial information to technical and non-technical audiences. + Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
