We are seeking exceptional candidates with previous supervisory and recent critical care and or ED experience. Job Summary : The Nursing Administrative Coordinator resolves problems that require an administrative decision or intervention in conjunction with hospital policies and procedures, and collaborates with Clinical Directors, associate administrators, and department directors in decisions that affect patient care and hospital functioning. In addition, the Administrative Coordinator is called on to assist in clinical event management when necessary. Accountabilities u2022 Represents the hospital, and when appropriate, responds to patient, visitor and hospital personnel issues. u2022 Provides both clinical and managerial mentorship to unit charge nurses in the absence of unit leadership. u2022 Manages hospital emergencies, working with the Administrator on Call to optimize outcomes. u2022 Collaborates with the CDs, Nurse Managers, and charge nurses on the allocation of clinically competent staff based on unitsu2019 census, NHPPD algorithm, and patient acuity. u2022 Provides oversight and guidance to the assignment of resources for performing constant observation to patients u2022 Supports nursing division in balancing financial models to achieve budget targets and organizational objectives. u2022 Coordinates and responds to unusual events, such as mass casualty, floods, bomb threats, fires and radiation exposure. u2022 Participates with Bed Management to determine bed availability and prioritization of bed assignments. u2022 Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures u2022 Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in nursing 3+ years of direct patient care 1+ years Nursing supervisory experience.
