Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's dynamic insurance organization based in the Horsham area, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting key financial initiatives. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and submit quarterly and annual financial statements and required reports in alignment with insurance regulatory guidelines. u2022 Analyze and compile financial data to ensure the accuracy and compliance of all financial reports. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently. u2022 Strengthen and maintain internal controls over financial transactions and reporting processes. u2022 Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving federal, state, and local insurance regulations. u2022 Support external audits by providing documentation and detailed explanations as needed. u2022 Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing financial trends and offering actionable insights. u2022 Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Participate in special financial projects assigned by leadership to support organizational goals. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the insurance industry. u2022 Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles and regulatory filing requirements. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. u2022 Solid understanding of corporate tax, sales tax, and month-end close processes. u2022 Experience with general ledger management and creating journal entries. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and present financial data clearly.
