Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization in Andover, Massachusetts. This Contract to permanent position requires a candidate with a strong background in accounting and financial management and a keen attention to detail. The role involves managing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business objectives. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and cash management. u2022 Supervise the month-end close process to deliver accurate and timely financial statements. u2022 Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. u2022 Prepare detailed financial reports that comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. u2022 Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and maintain tax compliance. u2022 Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives to align financial planning with business goals. u2022 Oversee fixed asset accounting and ensure the proper tracking and reporting of company assets. u2022 Implement and maintain accounting software systems to optimize operational efficiency. u2022 Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or in a senior accounting role, with a track record of success. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly preferred. u2022 Strong expertise in month-end close activities, financial statement preparation, and payroll processes. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software and tools, with a focus on operational efficiency and accuracy. u2022 Familiarity with Avalara and other tax-related systems is advantageous. u2022 Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information effectively. u2022 Comprehensive knowledge of internal controls, budgeting processes, and compliance regulations.
