YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities. + Develop and maintain deep relationships with internal and external clients, including issuers and the high yield investor universe, to optimize distribution and drive strong aftermarket performance + Lead and manage syndicate issuances and internal protocol for issuing clients + Work with sales and trading to evaluate investor activity and potential demand in various transactions + Work with bankers and issuers to generate lead manager mandates + Monitor/manage order books for lead managed issuances + Work with Commercial Leadership to expand internal and external knowledge of FTS brand + Provide leadership around the creation and delivery of the firmu2019s market view, capital markets presentation materials and in the evaluation of capital markets transactions + Partner with Group Head of Public Markets and Head of High Yield Capital Markets to drive Fifth Thirdu2019s High Yield franchise positioning, including league table strategy, sponsor engagement and growth in high yield cross-over activity + Develop and utilize relationships with external clients to focus on delivery of advice and analysis for capital markets opportunities + Perform syndicate internal and external procedures related to new deal issuance, owning end-to-end high yield timeline management, ensuring seamless execution under tight market windows MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred. + 8+ years syndicate experience at a major underwriting institution supporting the products desk, with direct lead execution experience on high yield deals + Strong issuer and investor relationships specifically across the high yield investor ecosystem + Experienced with financial software and market data (including Bloomberg and orderbook building systems) + Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues + Strong desire to build and grow a business + Leadership experience and history of involvement in key decisions around a growing financial services business + Structural knowledge by asset class + Deep understanding of high yield capital structures, credit risk assessment and ratings agency considerations preferred + Expertise in one or more industries (energy, gaming, homebuilding and/or equipment lessors a plus) + Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required + Series 24 (Supervisor) license preferred + Ability to travel as required REQUIRED SKILLS: Qualified candidates will bring professional proficiency, generally acquired through 8+ years syndicate experience at major underwriting institutions supporting the products desk + High attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality work product consistently + Strong collaboration and communication skills + Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written + Strong mentoring and leadership skills + Exceptional market judgment under pressure and credibility with high yield investors + Ability to synthesize complex market signals into actionable pricing and distribution strategies SKILLS FOR SUCCESS: Successful candidates will demonstrate a higher degree of proficiency (typically from 15+ years of practical experience and/or advanced academic exposure) across the following areas: + Client Advisory & Relationship Management u2013 Ability to lead strategic conversations, build trust, and deliver tailored solutions that deepen client relationships. + Origination & Commercial Impact u2013 Skilled in identifying opportunities, developing pitches, and converting ideas into revenue-generating engagements. + Team Leadership & Development u2013 Proven ability to mentor, develop, and lead high-performing teams. + Market Insight & Thought Leadership u2013 Ability to translate market trends into strategic content and client engagement strategies.
