WORK SCHEDULE + 100% FTE (40 hours per week) + Monday u2013 Friday + Day Shift; 6:30am - 3:00pm POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The Patient Services Specialist Supervisor (PSS-Supervisor) oversees various supervisory and administrative non-clinical functions within the department. This role is responsible for leading and supervising staff in the Patient Services Specialist class series, as well as other assigned personnel. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES + Ensure smooth daily operations and patient safety by prioritizing tasks and managing workflow. + Oversee staff scheduling, HR data systems, and deliver high-quality customer service. + Track inventory, submit repair orders, and support departmental quality improvement efforts. + Supervise and support staff while modeling professional and courteous communication. + Develop, implement, and maintain organizational systems and unit procedures. + Collaborate to uphold safety standards, infection control, and emergency protocols. + Advocate for patients and families, ensuring privacy, dignity, and cultural sensitivity. + Foster teamwork across departments and represent the unit in meetings and committees. + Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, hospital policies, and Epic ADT systems. + Lead and participate in training, continuing education, and professional development. + Demonstrate strong coordination, multitasking, and leadership skills. + Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience working with diverse populations.
