What You Will Contribute: This position isresponsible for overall assembly process, including building,assembling, testing, injection molding and packaging a variety of metersor meter reading technology products. The work is completed throughmanual assembly, utilization of various specialty pieces of equipment,or automated machinery. Employees regularly rotate through variousworkstations within their home department and occasionally work in otherareas of the facility depending on workload and customer orders.Responsible for observing safe work habits and maintaining cleanlinessof work area. Job Duties: Meter Assembly: - Perform a variety ofoperations such as assembly of meters, leak testing, meter testing, andpackaging of meter products while following safety guidelines. -Assemble products, following work instructions ensuring the highestquality products, meeting company product standards, production goals,and customer specifications and delivery requirements. - Set up andoperate meter accuracy and leak test equipment to determineacceptability of product. - Operate computer to check schedules, obtainpart drawings, set up work procedures and update manufacturing status ofjobs. - Work from dispatch lists or production schedules to obtainrequired daily output. Molding: - Perform a variety of tasks such asoperation of plastic injection molding machines and perform secondaryoperations to molded parts such as degating, sprue removal anddrilling. - May operate and tend to multiple machines simultaneously. -Follow work instructions ensuring the highest quality products, meetingcompany product standards, production goals, and customer specificationsand delivery requirements. - Check parts visually and with the use ofinspection tools, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensureparts meet specified quality standards. - Operate computer to checkschedules, obtain part drawings, set up work procedures and updatemanufacturing status of jobs. - Work from dispatch lists or productionschedules to obtain required daily output. - Perform part counts and/orscale counts and prepare identification tickets for outgoing materials.
