Description The Opportunity Director of Physician Recruitment - UCHealth Medical Group Position Summary This is an outstanding opportunity to join the UCHealth Medical Group (UCHealthMG), a top, large multi-specialty physician-led group practice owned by UCHealth System. With over 2,000 providers, this system-wide role encompasses coverage across Colorado as well as select clinics in Wyoming and Nebraska. The Director of Provider Recruitment and Onboarding will lead and oversee all activities related to the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of physicians and advanced practice providers for the UCHealth Medical Group. This role is responsible for developing strategic recruitment plans, ensuring a seamless onboarding process, and fostering a positive candidate experience to support organizational growth and clinical excellence. In addition, the Director will drive continuous process improvement within recruitment and onboarding operations, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. The Director will also manage departmental operations, including workflow optimization, resource allocation, and performance monitoring, to ensure the recruitment and onboarding team operates at the highest level and consistently meets organizational objectives. This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Key Responsibilities + Formulate, execute, and continually refine comprehensive provider recruitment strategies that are fully aligned with UCHealth's overarching mission, vision, and organizational objectives. This includes conducting thorough market analysis, identifying emerging trends in healthcare staffing, and developing targeted plans to attract top-tier candidates who will contribute to clinical excellence and sustained organizational growth. + Direct and oversee the provider recruitment lifecycle, encompassing the sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and hiring of physicians and advanced practice providers. Ensure that each stage of the process is conducted with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and adherence to UCHealth's standards, while maintaining a positive candidate experience and supporting organizational staffing needs. + Engage in close collaboration with clinical leaders to assess current and anticipated staffing requirements. Facilitate strategic discussions to prioritize recruitment efforts and allocate resources effectively, ensuring that the organization is equipped to deliver exceptional patient care and respond to evolving healthcare demands. + Supervise and optimize the onboarding process for new providers, guaranteeing efficient completion of credentialing, orientation, and integration activities. Establish standardized procedures to promote a seamless transition for new hires, enabling them to acclimate quickly and effectively within the UCHealth Medical Group environment and contribute to the organization's clinical objectives. + Proactively build and sustain strategic partnerships with medical schools, residency and fellowship programs, as well as relevant professional organizations. Develop initiatives to cultivate a robust pipeline of qualified candidates, ensuring a steady influx of skilled providers who are well-prepared to meet the organization's current and future clinical needs. + Establish and maintain effective systems for tracking and analyzing recruitment metrics, such as candidate sourcing channels, time-to-fill, retention rates, and overall recruitment outcomes. Regularly prepare and present detailed reports to executive leadership, providing insights into recruitment progress, identifying opportunities for improvement, and demonstrating alignment with organizational goals. + Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory standards governing provider recruitment and onboarding processes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, accreditation requirements, and industry best practices, and implement procedures to mitigate risks and uphold UCHealth's reputation for ethical and legal excellence. + Provide visionary leadership and ongoing mentorship to the recruitment and onboarding team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture. Encourage continuous professional development, innovation, and process improvement to enhance team effectiveness and support the achievement of organizational objectives. + Collaborate with external staffing agencies to identify and secure locum tenens coverage as needed, ensuring continuity of patient care and meeting organizational staffing requirements. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. + 5-7 years of progressive experience in provider recruitment is required, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within a large multispecialty or academic medical group. + Strong knowledge of physician recruitment practices, credentialing, and regulatory standards. + Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative leaders. Skills and Abilities + Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic healthcare environment. + Proficient in utilizing data analytics tools to drive evidence-based recruitment strategies and process improvements. + Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the capacity to navigate complex regulatory and operational challenges. + Strong presentation and negotiation abilities to effectively engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels. + Adept at managing multiple priorities and adapting to rapidly changing organizational needs. + Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in high-pressure situations.
