Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistants to work at a facility in Batavia, NY. These are _registry_ positions with our company. $100 Sign-On Bonus Pay Rate: $25 / hour Shift details: + Per Diem, shifts as needed Job Description: Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant will independently provide a variety of physical therapy support and treatment services to assigned individuals; and may provide clinical supervision and training to direct care staff. The selected candidate must possess a strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care in performing the following: u2022 Will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team; attend individual case reviews and team meetings as the physical therapy representative; and coordinate physical therapy activities with those of other disciplines or therapy programs. u2022 Administer a variety of selected physical therapies, such as ultraviolet or infrared rays, massage, hydrotherapy, and muscle exercises. u2022 Instruct individuals and groups on simple physical therapies and the use of assistive devices, which may include exercise and other therapeutic activities directed at restoring specific body functions. u2022 Observe and report individualsu2019 progress, response, and behavior; and may recommend modifications to treatment plans based on observations. u2022 Maintain individual records and documentation in accordance with program standards and requirement; record daily treatment charges accordingly.
