Description We are looking for a detailed-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Odessa, Texas, on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and billing processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our accounting operations while collaborating with internal teams and external customers. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare, review, and submit invoices with precision to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy. u2022 Monitor aging accounts, address discrepancies, and follow up on overdue invoices to facilitate timely collections. u2022 Reconcile customer accounts and make adjustments as needed to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Collaborate with internal departments and customers to resolve billing-related issues effectively. u2022 Maintain organized digital and physical records in compliance with company policies and audit requirements. u2022 Assist with month-end closing procedures and support other accounting tasks as required. Requirements u2022 3u20135 years of experience in accounts receivable and billing, preferably within a mid-size or large organization. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced knowledge of its functions and tools. u2022 Familiarity with billing and accounting platforms such as Open Invoice, Open Ticket, QuickBooks, or similar systems. u2022 Strong analytical abilities and exceptional attention to detail. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. u2022 Ability to work on-site in Odessa, Texas. u2022 Knowledge of computerized billing systems and collection processes.
