Position Type: Seasonal / TemporaryAbout the RoleThe Summer Camp Site Director is the on-site leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of camp operations, staff performance, and daily execution. Please note: This is a seasonal position and does not include health benefits.Key ResponsibilitiesCamp Operations & Site LeadershipTake full ownership of daily camp operations and on-site decision makingEnsure all activities run on time and meet program quality standardsOversee camper arrival, dismissal, and daily transitionsMaintain a safe, clean, and highly organized camp environmentStaff Leadership & Team ManagementDirectly supervise, coach, and support camp counselors and teaching staffLead daily staff check-ins, assignments, and coverage planningSet expectations and hold team members accountable for performanceFoster a positive, team-oriented, and professional camp cultureFamily Communication & ExperienceAct as the primary on-site contact for parents and guardiansAddress questions, concerns, and updates with professionalism and urgencyEnsure a welcoming, responsive, and high-quality experience for familiesLogistics & Program CoordinationEnsure materials, schedules, and staffing plans are prepared in advanceCoordinate with leadership and specialty instructors to support programmingStep in as needed to support activities, breaks, and operational gapsTrack attendance and ensure adherence to all proceduresSafety & ComplianceEnforce all health, safety, and Department of Health regulationsMaintain proper supervision ratios and safe practices at all timesRespond to and document any incidents appropriatelyWhat You Need to SucceedRequired:Must be at least 25 years oldBachelor’s degree requiredFull availability from Mid-June through Mid-August (no interruptions)Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in camp leadership, childcare, education, or youth programsProven ability to lead teams and manage day-to-day operationsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to stay calm and effective in a fast-paced environmentCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Important Information?
