This position will be also responsible for retention and expansion of excising client relationship, analyze financial data to determine the merits of loan requests, recommend structure, as well as identify cross selling/refer opportunities of other deposit services. As an East West Bank employee, you will be part of a growing and stable organization that provides career path development opportunities while serving a growing and profitable market.Analyze and create financial loan write-ups to generate new loansAssist in accurately risk rating loans/creditsDevelop problem loan credit solutionsWork with credit analyst in reviewing existing creditsManage relationships by analyzing financial data to determine the merits of specific loan requests, and recommend structure as well as aggressively managing the client relationshipResponsible for credit risk and quality of the portfolioAssist with due diligence/analysis with new client relationships, opportunity memos as appropriatePartner with the Business Relationship Manager as the point of a contact for the client; acting as a liaison to the Credit Department, the Commercial support staff, and other internal business partnersMonitor loan repayment activities and financial condition of borrowing clients and take necessary action to collect past due accounts and ongoing repayment ability of all other accounts. May assume overall responsibility for the credit quality of the loan portfolioPrepare presentations on specific loans and participate in the bank’s Loan Approval Process, recommending approval and appropriate structure of creditsManage the renewal process by working with the Business Relationship Manager, the client, and the credit departmentAct as a contact manager for non-borrowing accounts and loan clients for matters relating to other banking servicesPerforms other duties as assignedBachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred 4+ years of banking experience with a minimum of 1-2 years of direct portfolio management experienceDemonstrates strong underwriting and projection skillsStrong understanding of credit policy and procedures; able to accurately risk-rate loans/credits, evaluates both cash-flow and collateral-based loans/creditsDevelop problem loan credit solutionsAbility to work collaboratively across functions within the BankKnowledge and understanding of banking products, market, and business trendsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving and decision-making skills preferred Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeApplicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
