We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform high-level mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, construction machinery, and specialized asphalt paving and sealcoating equipment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of diesel-powered vehicles to ensure peak operational performanceConduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy machinery such as pavers, millers, rollers, and bobcats, as well as company vehicles.Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.Handle complex and major repairs independently.Utilize middle to advanced-level welding skills for various types of welding as needed.Respond to field service calls with a focus on delivering high-quality, timely repairs.Conduct on-site repairs at job locations to minimize downtime.Maintain clear and consistent communication with managers regarding repair progress and parts inventory needs.Work effectively within a team, demonstrating a willingness to learn and train others.Build and maintain positive working relationshipsPreferred Qualifications2+ yearsof heavy-duty diesel or automotive mechanic experience.Experience usingdiagnostic scan tools.Trade school certificationin a related field.Stable work historydemonstrating reliability and expertise.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
