Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician - Building Engineer Job Description The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of airport building facilities. This includes elevators, conveyor systems, mechanical systems, lighting systems, communication/radio systems, air handling units/HVAC units, fire systems, plumbing systems, and more. The role may involve working with PLC electronic systems, computer controls, steel frame structures, and various other components. Responsibilities + Perform maintenance and repair tasks on various airport building facilities. + Work with high voltage electrical systems and troubleshoot electrical issues, including AC & DC circuits. + Execute preventive maintenance and building maintenance tasks. + Install, repair, and solve electrical circuitry and devices ranging from 110/220/480 volts. + Handle related building equipment such as air handling units, plumbing, steam fitting, fire systems, and conveyors. + Work around the clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, outdoors in all weather conditions. + Follow wiring schematics and work independently without supervision. Essential Skills + Thorough knowledge of general building maintenance with emphasis on electrical troubleshooting. + Experience in industrial wiring and the ability to read and follow wiring schematics. + Ability to make low and high voltage repairs to all building electrical equipment. + Skill in solving installation and repair of electrical circuitry and devices. + Experience in related building equipment and trades, such as air handling units, plumbing, and conveyors. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Journeyman electrical license is a plus. + Twenty-four months experience required in at least three areas: Electrical, Structural/Carpentry, HVAC, Mechanical. + Must have own tools. + Electronics diagnostics and troubleshooting skills. + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. + Valid, clean, applicable state driver's license.
