Full Time Clerical Rochester, NY, US Salary Range: $19.00 To $26.00 Hourly The Full-time Optical Medical Billing Receptionist will work a rotating schedule Monday through Saturday in which the person will work every third Saturday. Essential Job Functions: u2022 Ability to project a professional image u2022 Process orders in the Point of Sale (POS) Software u2022 Understanding of health insurance and medical costs including coding required to properly bill for services u2022 Skillful in data entry, including speed and accuracy u2022 Ability to multitask with superior time management skills u2022 Knowledge of procedure and diagnosis codes including CPT and ICD-10 coding u2022 Knowledge of medical terminology u2022 Problem solving and attention to detail u2022 Ability to recognize billing errors u2022 Receive denial letters and follow up appropriately to ensure payment is received u2022 Greet customers on the phone and in person in a friendly manner u2022 Schedule appointments and send correspondence u2022 Provide accurate information about services, products, policies and promotions u2022 Answer customer inquiries and resolve customer issues with exceptional service u2022 Assist in keeping the store clean and organized and in maintaining inventory and displays u2022 Adhere to opening and closing procedures of the retail store u2022 Deliver efficient and effective front desk operation.
